On May 24, 2019, Taiwan became the first country in Asia to legalize same-sex marriage. To commemorate the one-year anniversary of this milestone, streaming platform GagaOOLala is releasing a three-years-in-the-making documentary, Taiwan Equals Love (Yan Zhexuan, 2020), that chronicles the local LGBTQ+ community fight for this landmark achievement.
