Thai Entertainment Industry Delegation Visits Portico Media to Strengthen Taiwan–Thailand Co-production and International Collaboration
As part of Thai Wave 2026: Series & Music Experience in Taiwan, jointly organized by Thailand's Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) and the Thai Trade Office, Taipei, a delegation of approximately 40 representatives from Thailand's film, television, music and entertainment industries visited Portico Media on June 26 to exchange insights on content co-production, international distribution, IP development and talent collaboration.
The delegation was led by Pornphan Pirompanich, Director of the Thai Trade Office, Taipei; Nantawan Panyaphinich, Deputy Director; and Nithima Siriphokakij, Head of the Entertainment Business Division at the Department of International Trade Promotion. Participating companies included Thailand's leading television broadcaster ONE31, along with more than 15 production companies, talent agencies, music labels and content studios, including Star Hunter Entertainment, DMD (Domundi), Rabbit Moon, FearFolks, and Themework Studio.
Building on the long-standing collaboration between Taiwan and Thailand's creative industries, the visit focused on emerging trends in the Asian entertainment market and explored opportunities in original content development, IP licensing, international distribution, co-production and talent development. Both sides exchanged perspectives on future collaboration and identified new opportunities to strengthen cross-border partnerships.
During the visit, Jay Lin, Founder and CEO of Portico Media and GagaOOLala, shared insights into Taiwan–Thailand collaboration, the rapid growth of LGBTQ+, BL and GL content across Asia, and GagaOOLala's global strategy for content distribution, original productions and international partnerships. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening long-term cooperation, expanding international partnerships and bringing more Asian stories to audiences worldwide.
